Embedded Software Engineer (C++/Rust) – Automotive

An embedded software engineer to join Unikie on an international automotive project. You’ll work in a small team developing software that processes in-vehicle user inputs and connects them with other vehicle systems.

You’ll bring strong C++ skills and hands-on development experience in Rust. Rust doesn’t need to be your primary language, but you should have used it to build real software.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain software for event handling and state management.

• Work across C++ and Rust components on an embedded Linux platform.

• Implement behaviour that remains reliable as vehicle context changes or systems restart.

• Debug issues across components and support integration and testing.

---

• Collaborate with other engineers to turn requirements into working software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong hands-on C++ development experience.
• Experience developing software in Rust on a real project.
• Experience with embedded Linux or similar embedded systems.
• Confidence working with event-driven, stateful software.
• An independent and collaborative approach to technical problems.

Experience in automotive software, HMI or input systems is welcome, but not required.
