Software Engineer
Barge Master B.V. · Rotterdam, Netherlands
You apply off-site, with the employer or the job board. I never handle applications.
At Barge Master, you'll be part of a hands-on engineering team developing advanced offshore motion compensation systems that operate in challenging environments around the world. As a Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in bringing these systems to life through the development of reliable and innovative control software.
Your work will focus on defining the software architecture of our PLC-based control systems and guiding projects from concept through to implementation. You'll be responsible for designing, programming, and testing software solutions, while taking the lead in solving complex technical challenges along the way.
In addition to your own engineering work, you'll coach and support fellow software engineers, helping to maintain a high standard of software quality, structure, and documentation across projects. You'll work closely with colleagues from different engineering disciplines to ensure hardware and software come together seamlessly.
During factory acceptance tests and commissioning, you'll be involved in testing and validating drive and control functionalities. This gives you the opportunity to see your software running on real equipment and experience firsthand how your work contributes to the performance of the final system.
