The Mentor Programme 2027
Deloitte’s Finance Transformation (FT) department is at the heart of the Mentor Programme, offering engagement opportunities for students with an interest in Finance Transformation. Our FT team, consisting of +350 consultants based in Copenhagen and Aarhus, supports clients by operating, advising, optimising, and managing finance functions. The work spans all areas under the CFO, including operational finance, finance optimisation, ERP implementation, performance management, and finance strategy. We collaborate with a broad range of private and public clients, including C25 companies and key public institutions, both nationally and internationally.
As part of the Mentor Programme, you will be invited to educational workshops and social events that will provide you with deep insights into our toolbox and life as a consultant. These events provide great opportunities to network with Deloitte professionals and fellow peers.
Throughout the programme, you will receive personalised guidance through 1:1 sessions with a mentor from Deloitte. These sessions are aimed at guiding you towards your personal and professional ambitions and goals. Topics touched upon with your assigned mentor can cover everything from student life, courses, and bachelor/thesis topics to career sparring and dialogues around CV and applications. The mentor-mentee relation is centred around your development, whereas you will be the one to choose the topics that are most relevant for you to discuss.
The Mentor Programme runs from January to September 2027. Throughout the course of the programme, we have arranged four main events that we expect you to commit to attending*:
- Event 1, ultimo January : The Beginning | Introducing the Programme & Deloitte
- Event 2, primo March : Opening our Toolbox | Strengthening Your Skills
- Event 3, ultimo April : Unique Insights | Explore & Engage
- Event 4, ultimo August : Festive Culmination | Celebrating the Finalization of Your Journey**
In addition to the main events, we will arrange smaller group sessions with 3-4 mentees and mentors. These sessions will allow you to network in a more personal setting and gain deeper insights into areas such as client projects and tools.
* The event dates are subject to change, and the final dates will be provided later.
** All events are held in the evening and start at 16:00 earliest.
Qualifications
We embrace students on their bachelor’s and 1st year master’s degree with interest in all aspects under the CFO’s responsibilities.
Additional Information
The Mentor Programme 2027 is centred around Finance Transformation. However, a few mentors from two other departments are represented and involved in the programme. This involves the following:
- Strategy & Performance (Monitor) is Deloitte’s strategy practice that combines deep industry insights with cutting-edge methods to help leaders resolve their most critical decisions, drive value, and achieve transformational success. We specialise in end-to-end strategy consulting, helping chief executives and their teams solve their most complex problems by advising on everything from growth and corporate strategies to operating models and cost and capital optimisation. We deliver tailored solutions that ensure long-term success and efficiency for our clients.
- Corporate Finance Advisory is part of Deloitte’s dedicated M&A practice, guiding clients through every stage of the transaction lifecycle – from identifying targets and buyers to structuring deals and realising post-close value. We support a diverse range of clients, including corporates, private equity firms, financial investors, and family-owned businesses. Our integrated service offering span sell- and buy-side advisory, debt capital advisory, and complex financial modelling. By combining deep industry expertise with rigorous financial analysis, we enable leaders to navigate complexity, structure optimal deals, and unlock sustainable value - creating an impact that matters.
In case you are interested in joining the Mentor Programme with a mentor from one of the abovementioned departments, please select this in the application form. Please note that Finance Transformation is the main department represented, hence the largest proportion of mentors and mentees will be within Finance Transformation.
Be aware that Strategy & Performance (Monitor) is only represented in Aarhus, while Corporate Finance Advisory is represented in both Aarhus and Copenhagen Mentor Programme 2027.
