What to Expect Tesla is seeking a Workplace Assistant to play a critical role in managing workplace projects that support Tesla’s operational efficiency and employee experience. Our team delivers results through drive, innovation, collaboration, and trustworthiness. This hands-on role requires expertise in workplace operations, office management, hospitality, and project coordination. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional communication skills and a diligent work ethic—someone who proactively delivers timely solutions to workplace challenges.
What You'll Do* Ensure an outstanding and engaging workplace experience by continuously monitoring all facility spaces.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and service providers regarding workplace-related inquiries.
- Manage Workplace Task Requests: collaborate with the Workplace team to compile daily task lists (e.g., reactive tasks such as broken desks, coordinating with cleaning teams, managing inventory, etc.).
- Provide event support by assisting with setup, staffing, and cleanup for workplace events.
- Support internal deliveries within the Workplace department. Coordinate access for vendors with IT and Security teams as needed.
- Assist in the execution of departmental moves across the facility and other Tesla locations.
- Support project coordination aimed at improving the workplace. Work with other Workplace representatives to develop, implement, and maintain processes. Identify inefficiencies to drive more effective and efficient operations.
- Handle inbound mail and packages: sort, scan, and distribute correspondence and parcels to the appropriate individuals or departments.
- Arrange weekly pickup services to transport mail from Tilburg to Amsterdam HQ (as needed).
What You'll Bring* Experience in a corporate, retail, industrial, or warehouse environment; an automotive background is a plus.
- Hands-on mindset, positive attitude, and strong customer service orientation. Excellent listening, organizational, and communication skills—particularly when engaging with leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong work ethic, commitment to quality, and proven follow-through. A natural leader who thrives as a team player.
- Willingness and availability to work weekends and/or nights as required to meet operational demands. Ability to see the big picture while remaining detail-oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and understand strategic goals. Openness to feedback and a commitment to using it to improve project outcomes.
- Willingness to take on workplace and facility tasks beyond typical daily responsibilities—this adaptability is key to workplace success.
- Proven ability to take initiative and a strong desire to learn new processes, procedures, software, and systems.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus. Additional foreign language skills are highly desirable.
