Information Operations Data EngineerThe Opportunity:
In today’s operational environment, mission owners rely on timely, trustworthy, and scalable data capabilities to plan, decide, and act. As a forward‑deployed Data Engineer, you will partner directly with end users to help them build, operate, and maintain high performance, scalable, and reliable data solutions that meet evolving mission demands. You won’t just write code, you will own the full lifecycle of data and AI solution delivery, from requirements discovery and synthesis to development, test and evaluation, deployment, training, sustainment, and eventual sunsetting.
You will guide customers through emerging technologies, helping them understand what is possible while rapidly engineering solutions tailored to their workflows. You’ll support multiple concurrent projects, switching seamlessly between full‑stack development, data science, data engineering, modeling and simulation, and agentic AI workflows, always selecting the right tool for the right problem. You will continually explore and integrate new services, platforms, and capabilities within the customer’s ecosystem to ensure long‑term mission resilience.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with application development and full‑stack engineering in production environments
- 5+ years of experience developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex, enterprise-scale data applications, architectures, and pipelines, such as Palantir, including Foundry, AIP, or Gotham, and War Data Platform, such as Advana
- 5+ years of experience building ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation workflows, and solutions for structured and unstructured data processing at scale
- 3+ years of experience working directly with senior mission stakeholders, translating requirements and communicating dense technical information clearly to non‑technical and technical audiences
- 3+ years of experience working embedded with end users
- 2+ years of experience building and deploying agentic AI workflows, autonomous data pipelines, and modeling and simulation systems into production, including designing and implementing multi‑agent orchestration on top of existing LLM platforms
- Experience supporting the full lifecycle of technical product development, including requirements gathering, decomposition, synthesis, development, testing, deployment, training, sustainment, and decommissioning and migration
- Ability to rapidly learn new platforms and navigate tool ecosystems and remaining platform agnostic
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- Experience working with Department of War customers
- Experience working at a Combatant Command or in an international environment
- Experience with geospatial data
- Experience with military exercises
- Experience with distributed data or computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka
- Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
- Experience with synthetic or bootstrapped data method
- Experience with Agile engineering practices

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
