In the high-tech and semiconductor industry, a resilient and intelligent supply chain is a key

competitive advantage. As a Strategic Buyer – Semiconductor, you play a vital role in

developing and executing sourcing strategies for critical components, technologies, and

strategic suppliers.

You combine commercial expertise with technical insight to build long-term supplier

partnerships, negotiate complex agreements, and ensure the continuity of an international

supply chain. Working closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Project

Management, you contribute directly to the successful delivery of innovative high-tech

solutions.

Your role

As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic suppliers while continuously improving supplier performance, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for high-tech and semiconductor-related products and services.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with international suppliers.
• Leading contract negotiations and managing commercial agreements throughout their lifecycle.
• Managing supplier performance based on quality, delivery reliability, cost, and innovation.
• Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks while ensuring business continuity.
• Collaborating with Engineering and Project Teams to involve suppliers early in product development.
• Advising internal stakeholders on sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and procurement best practices.
• Applying knowledge of international import and export regulations to ensure compliant global trade operations.

What you bring

You are an experienced procurement professional who understands the dynamics of the semiconductor industry. You are commercially driven, technically aware, and capable of building strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.

In addition, you have:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Strategic Buyer, Commodity Manager, or Senior Buyer in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience within the semiconductor or advanced technology industry.
• Strong expertise in contract management and complex commercial negotiations.
• Solid knowledge of international import and export regulations and global trade compliance.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is considered an advantage.
