In this role, you will lead the development of competitive and customer-focused Measurement Solutions project proposals for strategic pursuits while serving as a trusted partner to project pursuit leaders, account managers, and cross-functional teams. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Partner with Project Pursuit Leaders and EPC Account Managers to develop proposal strategies that strengthen Emerson’s competitive position and support successful project outcomes.
- Lead the preparation of Measurement Solutions project proposals, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and effectively addressed.
- Identify technical and commercial opportunities that enhance customer value while supporting profitable growth.
- Apply Emerson’s product offering strategy to optimize solution selection, pricing, and overall value proposition.
- Collaborate with product specialists, project engineers, and subject matter experts to develop solution recommendations that align with customer needs.
- Work closely with supply chain and engineering teams to evaluate third-party products and services, balancing cost, quality, risk, and technical compliance.
- Ensure technical, documentation, and contractual requirements are reviewed and addressed in a timely manner.
- Assess project risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to support business and commercial decision-making.
- Develop proposal summaries that clearly communicate technical, commercial, and profitability considerations.
- Review proposals prior to submission to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Guide and coordinate project engineering resources to support proposal development and meet strategic bid deadlines.
- Facilitate lessons learned activities to continuously improve proposal quality and competitiveness.
- Support Project Managers during project execution by providing technical guidance and ensuring knowledge transfer of agreed project strategies.
- Maintain technical accountability for proposed solutions and support successful project delivery.
- Lead project engineering teams in providing technical support required for timely order processing and project administration activities.
- Identify opportunities to expand project scope and improve project value throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support project success.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, inspections, and other project-related activities when needed. Support project teams in achieving documentation and approval milestones according to project schedules.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation solutions and their application within industrial or process automation environments.
- Basic knowledge of financial models, budgeting, financial impacts of technology actions.
- Understanding business needs and translating them into technical, or technology requirements.
- Ability to read P&IDs, customer specifications and create instrument datasheets.
- Ability to lead a team of project engineers.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the process automation industry (Automation, DCS, and field implementation).
- Advanced technical knowledge of instrumentation products.
- Experience working directly with customers, EPC organizations, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience developing proposals and solutions for large or complex projects. Ability and willingness to travel as business needs require.
