- Work pattern: This full-time position is based on 40 hours per week i.e. 1.0 FTE.
- Contract: 12-month temporary appointment with a view to a permanent contract /For one year with a view to a permanent contract
- Salary: In accordance with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Secondary Education (CAO VO) Scale 7: between € 2.798,- en € 3.937,- gross per month based on a full-time contract (depending on your experience)
- Start date: 1 November 2026

What you will be doing
As our IT Support & AV Technician, you’ll be the go-to specialist for both daily technical support and live event setup.
On a typical day, you will:
- Troubleshoot and configure Apple devices (MacBooks, iPads, Apple TVs managed via Jamf), Windows desktops, interactive touchscreens, and network printers.
- Help teachers, students, and administrative staff navigate Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365 with ease.
- Set up and manage audio and video equipment for assemblies, presentations, and large performances.
- Perform routine maintenance, log support tickets, analyse recurring issues, and help optimize network operational guidelines.
- Work closely alongside the IT Manager, ICT colleagues, and external network support partners.
Who you are
We are looking for someone enthusiastic, approachable, and proactive who enjoys helping others solve technical challenges.
- Vocational qualification (MBO level) in ICT (or equivalent level of working/thinking) with hands-on experience in IT support.
- Strong experience supporting Apple (macOS, iOS, tvOS) and Windows environments.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365.
- Hands-on experience and enthusiasm for setting up and operating AV equipment, from portable sound rigs to integrated PA systems.
- Skilled at hardware/software installation, fault detection, and working under pressure when deadlines loom.
- Clear, friendly communication skills to easily explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with privacy regulations (Dutch AVG / European GDPR).
- Must currently hold the legal right to work in the Netherlands, independent of employment status.
Experience with educational systems (such as iSAMS, SOMtoday, Magister) or Apple School Manager / Jamf Pro is a fantastic bonus, as is fluency in Dutch (English is essential)!
