About the role:
As a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer you will support fabrication of electro-mechanical components at supplier facilities. This is a full-time job.
You will report to the I&C Supplier Performance Manager and be located at our HQ in San Sebastián de los Reyes. This is a hybrid position.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform On-site and Remote supplier oversight activities to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are achieved.
- Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans to guide completion of critical document submittals, manufacturing activities, and reviews. These plans will also cover the disposition of supplier process documents, surveillance points (Witness and Hold points), inspections, and tests. The goal of these plans is to ensure vendor compliance with critical requirements.
- Identify and escalate supplier issues. Guide prompt resolution of issues by issuing communications and coordinating activities with all partners. Hold them accountable to ensure prompt identification of impacted products, disposition of issues, and implementation of Corrective Actions.
- Monitor main supplier performance metrics, such as On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, and Deviation Notices, for assigned suppliers. This monitoring enables proactive identification of negative performance trends. It also allows for implementing Causal Analysis (RCA), Corrective & Preventive Actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans to reduce issues.
- Evaluate procurement (supplier) risk, soliciting partner input, and using resources to develop security of Supply Risk Mitigation Plans.
- Provide regular progress reports to the BU Partners (Project Manager, Program Director...) and the SPE Leadership team.
- Perform Technical Evaluations of our suppliers to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, compliance with applicable regulations, codes and standards, and any associated risks.
- Identify gaps between supplier capabilities and Westinghouse Technical / Quality requirements to establish and implement Development Plans.
- Lead Supplier Development and Qualification activities, Supplier Improvement plans, and Cost Reduction efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical/Automation Engineering or similar.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in Engineering/Manufacturing.
- We require knowledge regarding several manufacturing processes. These processes include machining, welding, forming, molding, mechanical assembly, testing, and inspection. Specifically, knowledge of Instrumentation & Control Systems is important. This includes understanding of electromechanical components, printed circuit boards, cable assemblies and harnesses, electrical cabinets, sensors, and more.
- Experience with Problem Solving activities and Process Standardization programs.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans.
- Experience performing Supplier Evaluation/Qualification.
- Project Management Experience: leading multiple, concurrent projects.
- Familiarity and experience with IPC / IEEE / ASME standards (norms, codes, technical specifications, drawings...).
- We value IPC or NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Certifications.
- We value Welding (AWS) or NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Certifications.
- We desire experience with nuclear products and standards.
- 30% of travelling (National and International).
