Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to lead the technical evolution of a modern Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This role is responsible for defining the platform’s technical vision, governing engineering standards, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GCP, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), DevOps, microservices, and AI-assisted software engineering practices. You will work closely with architects, product teams, and external development partners to drive platform innovation and maintain engineering excellence.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Platform Architecture & Strategic Technical Leadership: Own the GCP technical roadmap, design cloud-native architecture, translate business needs into Jira stories, and manage infrastructure lifecycle including Terraform modules, networking, and event-driven orchestration (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Eventarc).
• Code Governance & Automated Engineering Standards: Serve as the final code approver for the MSP across TypeScript and Python microservices, while developing AI harnesses, agentic workflows, custom NPM packages, and GitHub Actions to automate PR reviews and enforce platform standards.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Platform Engineering, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven expertise in designing and developing microservices using TypeScript and Python.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures using Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Eventarc, and related GCP services.
• Experience with custom NPM packages.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certifications are highly desirable.
