Storage & Backup Solutions Architect

About the Role

As a Storage & Backup Solutions Architect , you will make an impact by designing and implementing robust storage and backup solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. You will be a valued member of the Infrastructure & Operations team, working collaboratively with platform leads, cloud architects, and service management teams to ensure data availability, protection, and resilience in line with agreed SLAs. In This Role, You Will:

Design and implement enterprise storage solutions across on-prem and cloud environments, leveraging platforms such as NetApp, HPE, and Dell.

Own capacity planning activities , forecasting storage demand and ensuring infrastructure scales in line with business growth and project requirements.

Define and enforce backup policies , ensuring data protection standards are met across all environments and workloads.

Manage SLA adherence for storage and backup services, driving operational excellence and swift resolution of performance or availability issues.

Evaluate and implement backup tooling (e.g., Veeam or equivalent), overseeing deployment, configuration, and ongoing optimisation. Work Model

5+ years of experience with enterprise storage platforms, specifically NetApp, HPE, and/or Dell storage solutions.

Hands-on expertise with Veeam or comparable backup and recovery tooling in enterprise-scale environments.

Strong understanding of capacity planning methodologies and storage performance management.

Knowledge of ITIL frameworks , particularly in the context of change, incident, and problem management for storage services.

Experience designing backup policies and data protection strategies across hybrid (on-prem and cloud) environments. These Will Help You Stand Out

Relevant certifications such as NetApp Certified Storage Associate (NCSA) , Veeam VMCE , or equivalent.

Experience integrating storage solutions with cloud platforms (AWS S3, Azure Blob, or Google Cloud Storage) for tiered or hybrid storage architectures.

Familiarity with software-defined storage (SDS) solutions and converged/hyper-converged infrastructure.

Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance requirements related to data retention and backup.
