Canon EMEA is looking for a Logistics Inbound Specialist who will make sure logistics processes/policies in the EMEA region are correctly followed up. Driving the continuous improvement of logistics towards an effective, efficient and integrated operation between all Business Units across EMEA region is essential part of this position. Part of the overall purpose of this role is also being accountable for the balance between logistics cost and service levels within pre-defined business targets. This position is well suited for someone who is looking to be part of business transformation programs linked to logistics, contributing for maximizing revenue on Canon corporate level as well as increasing customer satisfaction.

For this role, you will have following experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor level (Dutch HBO) or equivalent in a relevant field (preferably A, logistics, planning, procurement, APICS).
  • At least 3 years of work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Inventory management.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills and proficient knowledge of MS Office.
  • Assertive team player with problem solving, positive and collaborative mind set
  • Independent, flexible, multi-task oriented and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Motivated by curiosity and continuous improvement
  • Proactive, creative, innovative and resourceful
  • Business communication skills, fluent Business English (both written and spoken).
  • Experience with Oracle, WMS, TMS

As a Logistics Inbound Specialist you will be:

  • Creating and monitoring planning (inbound & Value Added Logistics) in line with business requirements/agreements.
  • Accountable for the timely stocking of goods in the warehouses and creation of counter action plans in case of issues.
  • Accountable for the timely creation of counter actions in case of issues. Responsible for fixing root cause to prevent repetition.
  • Preparing and maintaining operational procedures that support business in the best way possible.
  • Managing the relationship with 3rd parties in such a way that a sustainable way of working is in place so no disruptions in business are to be expected.
  • Closely monitoring and reducing potential claims/complaints of customers and installing clear counteractions to increase customer satisfaction and reduce costs. Taking care of implementation of new logistics flows where needed.
  • Continuously seeking efficient and cost effective solutions on how to increase (optimize) warehouse space utilization and reduce cost. Identifying opportunities to optimize logistics costs and service by analyzing results of weekly and monthly reports.
  • Being flexible and able to learn and support E2E logistics operational tasks such as outbound operations, projects etc.
