The British School of Amsterdam is looking for a proactive and adaptable School Keeper to join our operations team.
In this vital role, you’ll be at the heart of our vibrant school community, ensuring our single-site campus in Amsterdam Zuid remains clean, safe, and fully operational for our pupils and staff. You will oversee day-to-day facilities upkeep, ranging from minor repairs, general maintenance, and groundskeeping to troubleshooting building systems, CCTV, and security alarms.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
- Some knowledge of mechanical engineering, plumbing, hand & power tools
- Ability to read technical manuals
- Driving licence B
- Driving licence C (preferred)
- Experience with security systems
- IT experience (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- VCA & BHV training (preferred)
- Cleaning services training
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Good communication skills
- Good level of English & Dutch language skills (preferred)
- Flexible, adaptable, responsible, reliable
- Good-humoured, with a warm, calm and friendly manner
- Enjoys working in a team
- Practical and good with their hands
- Strives to provide excellent service
About the school
We are a large international school with over 1,100 pupils aged 3 to 18 years, situated in an award-winning building in Amsterdam South. We employ a team of professional Schoolkeepers (Concierges), tasked with maintaining a clean, accessible and safe environment for our school community.
