Your mission
As a Senior Autonomy and Navigation Engineer you own the navigation and autonomy stack that enables NeuralAgent platforms to operate where GNSS cannot be trusted, including denied, jammed, or spoofed environments.
- Design, implement, and field-validate robust state estimation for UxS platforms.
- Architect the onboard autonomy stack, including localization, degraded-mode behaviors, and failsafes
- Lead sensor fusion across IMU, vision, LiDAR/radar, barometric, and opportunistic sources.
- Take prototypes from simulation through HIL to flight test and act as technical lead in test campaigns.
- Support with mentoring less experienced team members and review theses and code in the navigation area.
- Serve as a steady, reliable technical anchor for the team — someone others can count on to help navigate ambiguous or difficult technical challenges to a solid resolution
Your profile
- Masters degree in robotics or aerospace software
- Minimum of 5 years experience in robotics, aerospace software; field-deployed navigation experience;
- Deep state-estimation expertise including EKF/UKF, factor graphs, VIO/SLAM;
- Advanced proficiency in Python, C++ are a must, experience with Rust is highly appreciated
- Hands on experience with ROS 2 and internals of PX4 or ArduPilot
- Real hardware and flight-test experience.
- You are strong team player
- You have first experience in technical leadership
- You are used to work in high pace project mode
- Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with GNSS spoofing/jamming detection, alternative PNT, terrain- or vision-based georeferencing,
- Experience in defense or safety-critical domain
- Eligibility for security vetting
