Senior Risk Reporting Specialist
As a Senior Risk Reporting Specialist at ASN Bank in Utrecht, you shape the future of Risk Reporting by transforming complex risk information into strategic, decision-ready insights for senior management, supervisors, and the Executive Board in a data-driven and AI-enabled environment.
What will you do?
As a Senior Risk Reporting Specialist, you play a leading role in the development and delivery of enterprise-wide Risk Reporting. You challenge and influence stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Data, and IT, while driving continuous improvements in reporting quality, automation, and governance. You operate at the intersection of risk expertise, data, and strategic communication, ensuring that senior decision-makers receive clear and actionable insights.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and continuous improvement of Integrated Risk Reports and other key Risk Management deliverables for the CRO, Executive Board, Supervisory Board, and regulators
- Translate complex risk developments, emerging risks, and data trends into concise executive-level insights and recommendations
- Drive simplification and standardisation of reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency across reporting cycles
- Own and further develop the KRI framework, including data quality standards, governance, thresholds, and regulatory alignment (BCBS239, COREP, FINREP)
- Lead initiatives that accelerate the transition towards automated, data-driven reporting
- Champion AI-enabled solutions (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) to improve reporting efficiency, insight generation, and decision support within the Risk community
- Act as a trusted advisor and challenger to senior stakeholders on reporting content, risk messaging, and management information

You'll be part of the Integrated Risk Reporting & Development team within Enterprise Risk Management — a highly collaborative team focused on strengthening risk management through better reporting, data, and technology. Together, you will shape the future of risk reporting while supporting ASN Bank's mission to create positive impact for society.
Your qualities
You are a highly analytical and strategically minded professional who combines risk expertise with strong communication skills. You are comfortable challenging senior stakeholders, driving change across organisational boundaries, and operating in a dynamic environment where continuous improvement is key.
What you bring:
- 7+ years of experience in Risk Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Management, or a related field within financial services
- Proven experience leading executive-level reporting and communicating with senior stakeholders, including CROs, Executive Boards, Supervisory Boards, or regulators
- Strong understanding of Risk Management frameworks, KRIs, governance, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Demonstrable experience driving reporting transformation, automation, or data improvement initiatives
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI tooling; working knowledge of SQL and data analytics concepts
- Strong affinity with AI, data governance, data quality, and emerging technologies
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills across Risk, Finance, IT, and business teams
- Ability to translate complexity into clear strategic messages and actionable insights

This position is in scale 12 with a salary range between € 6.827,21 and € 9.102,94 gross annual fixed income (13th month and 8% holiday allowance included) and based on 36 hours workweek. In addition, you can count on:
