From Oxigent Technologies, we are looking for a Senior System Engineer to join a high-impact modernization project with a major global aviation tech leader, located in Barcelona (Poblenou).
In this position, you will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying the software platforms that will transform how Datalink services are monitored, configured, and operated across global infrastructure.
We are looking for an engineer who combines strong software architecture and development expertise with the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams. The ideal candidate will leverage proven industry experience alongside advanced AI-powered tools to drive complex initiatives from concept to production.
What will your main responsibilities be?
System Engineering:
- Drive the architecture, definition and design of next-generation Datalink Monitoring, Observability, Provisioning, and Configuration Management platforms.
- Enforce engineering quality through modern system definition, design practices, observability, and secure-by-design principles.
- Participate in technical reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, scalable, and supportable solutions.
Platform Modernization:
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy monitoring and configuration management assets while supporting operational continuity.
- Support the definition and design of next-generation Datalink Monitoring and Configuration Platforms, including modern telemetry, alerting, visualization, and operational capabilities.
- Ensure proposed solutions are resilient, scalable, and production-ready for long-term platform evolution.
- Utilize personal expertise and state-of-the-art AI tools to improve productivity and quality of deliverables.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and operations teams.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation.
What will you need to succeed?
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Years of experience:10+ years of experience as a Senior System Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or equivalent technical role in complex software or platform environments.
- Strong experience with observability and monitoring ecosystems, including Grafana Labs tools such as Alloy, Loki, Mimir (or Prometheus), Grafana, and OpenTelemetry Protocol.
- Key Technical Background: Strong background in C# and .NET environments to effectively interface with software engineering teams and platform architecture.
- Proven experience in platform or network system integration, monitoring, configuration management, APIs, microservices, and scalable backend systems.
- AI Tools: Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered tools for requirements management, static analysis, and documentation generation.
- Languages: Fluent / Very High level of English (C1+), to coordinate technical discussions in an international environment.
- Nice to Have: Background in Aviation or Telecommunications is a plus.
