Team / division overview
In accordance with Anti-Money Laundering Requirements, Banks are obliged to perform Know-your-client (“KYC”) reviews on all new and existing clients. These checks and reviews are made in strict accordance with regulatory standards and jurisdictions and the bank’s internal policies.
The KYC Analyst assists the bank’s clients, managing all KYC and account opening requirements with appropriate governance and controls. They operate in an environment of strict adherence to Standard Operating procedures (SOP’s) and Operation Level Agreements (OLA’s) to achieve accurate and timely account opening of retail clients.
The project involves verification of the Client data, performing due diligence checks on the Clients, reviewing KYC documentation, performing the risk assessment of the Client, liaising with the Business/Compliance, advising on KYC requirements, signing off on new client adoptions and support the onboarding of retail clients investing in savings products offered under Germany's new Private Pension Reform framework.
Your responsibilities –
As our KYC Due Diligence Implementation Associate you will:
- Act as the single point of contact for the Business, managing the end-to-end KYC process for new client adoptions, regular review and event driven reviews, ensuring outputs are of high quality, and delivered in timely manner
- Manage escalations and support our key stakeholders
- Manage risk effectively by ensuring timely and precise escalation and handling/monitoring of issues including identification of root cause and coming up with resolutions
- Effective pipeline prioritization and coordination within teams
- Develop and produce critical metrics and reports that provide transparency on team’s performance
- Ensure Business Continuity Management functions are compliant
- Ensure key operating and desktop procedures are kept up to date
- Support the go-live of new processes and help stabilize operations during ramp-up
- Responsible for verification of Client data
- Perform due diligence of new and existing Retail clients
- Verifying KYC documentation of the Clients to be adopted/reviewed
- Perform the risk assessment of the Client to be adopted/reviewed
- Signing off on new client adoptions and Regular reviews
- Manage New Client Adoption or Regular Review stream, to ensure that all requests are approved in accordance with regulatory requirements and the bank’s internal policies
- Manage exception ensuring that all SLA’s defined with the Business on timeliness and quality are adhered
- Preparing timely reports and MIS for various stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience while maintaining compliance with regulatory expectations
We are looking for :
- Approx. 3-5 years of work experience in AML/KYC within corporate financial services industry, Research/Analytics role in other Banks / KPOs.
- Good English and German Language Skills Written & Verbal
- Understanding of Control, Compliance, Investigation/chasing functions in banks.
- Strong background in Client Service
- Analytical & Investigative Skills – Ability to assess customer information, investigate Name List Screening (NLS) alerts, identify potential risks, and make well-supported decisions.
- Familiar with AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines for various regions.
- Operational Excellence & Attention to Detail – Proven ability to process high volumes of cases accurately while maintaining compliance, auditability, and service level commitments.
- Change & Process Implementation Capability – Experience supporting process rollouts, go-live activities, operational stabilization, and continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated environment.
- Experience in KYC management systems as well as competency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience of handling the team in order to support RTB operation smoothly.
- Good reading, comprehension, and critical reasoning skills
- Good analytical writing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams, such as Anti Financial Crime, Technology, and external service providers
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
