Samsøe Samsøe is looking for a Social Media Lead to shape and drive our global social media presence.
We are looking for a self-driven and experienced profile with a strong understanding of social media, fashion and culture, combined with a great eye for content. You know what makes an image or video work, understand how different platforms behave and can turn ideas into relevant, engaging content.
This is a role with a high level of ownership, combining strategic direction with hands-on content creation. You will work closely with Brand, Creative, Marketing, and E-commerce to ensure Samsøe Samsøe shows up on social in a way that feels distinctive, relevant and true to the brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and continuously develop the global social media strategy for Samsøe Samsøe.
- Lead the planning and execution of the social content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and emerging platforms.
- Translate collections, campaigns and brand stories into strong, platform-native social concepts and content.
- Create social-first photo and video content independently when relevant, from ideation and shooting through to editing and publishing.
- Bring a strong visual perspective to our channels, with a solid understanding of photography, videography, composition, lighting, movement and editing.
- Identify opportunities for agile and low-production content alongside larger campaign and brand productions.
- Work closely with Creative and Brand teams to develop content while maintaining a strong and consistent visual identity and tone of voice.
- Identify cultural moments, conversations, trends and emerging formats relevant to the Samsøe Samsøe universe – and know which ones are right for the brand.
- Develop strategies for community growth and engagement, building a relevant and engaged global audience.
- Partner with E-commerce and Performance Marketing to support commercial priorities while protecting and strengthening the brand.
- Manage content publishing, channel optimisation and ongoing platform development.
- Use data and audience insights to understand performance, identify opportunities and continuously improve our approach.
- Define and report on relevant social KPIs, translating performance into clear recommendations and actions.
- Stay ahead of developments in social media, fashion, culture and digital behaviour and proactively bring new ideas into the organisation.
- Manage relevant external partners, creators and agencies when needed.
YOUR PROFILE
You bring a strong combination of social media expertise, creative judgement and hands-on content skills. You understand fashion and visual culture and have a clear sense of what makes content relevant to both a brand and its audience.
You are self-driven and comfortable taking ownership. You spot opportunities, develop ideas and make things happen without needing constant direction. You have the maturity and judgement to make decisions independently while working collaboratively across teams.
We imagine that you:
- Have 4+ years of relevant experience in social media and content creation, ideally within fashion, lifestyle or another culturally relevant industry.
- Have a strong visual eye and practical photography, videography and editing skills.
- Understand social-first storytelling and how to create content specifically for different platforms.
- Have a deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok and the wider social landscape.
- Combine strategic thinking with the ability and willingness to create and execute yourself.
- Have a strong understanding of fashion, brands, culture and emerging creative formats.
- Are proactive, resourceful and confident taking an idea from concept to execution.
- Are comfortable using data and insights to inform creative and strategic decisions.
- Can manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
As our workforce is increasingly more international, our corporate language is English. If you can identify with our concept and our ambitions, we look forward to receiving your application.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and encourage everyone to apply for the position, regardless of age, national and cultural background, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
WHO ARE WE?
Our story, brand, and vision
Samsøe Samsøe dates back to 1993, when a small jewellery shop opened in Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter. The label soon expanded to include premium T-shirts and knitwear, primarily for men. In 2000, the current owners took over the brand, transforming it into an international fashion house focusing on contemporary clothes, footwear and accessories for men and women.
With a nod to its Scandinavian heritage, Samsøe Samsøe is defined by a wearable aesthetic that combines the utilitarian ease of Copenhagen street style with a quintessentially Scandinavian spirit. Collections transcend trends, drawing on Denmark’s renowned design tradition to result in minimalist, affordable and accessible fashion.
