Role Summary
This is a great opportunity to own and shape the People & Culture function at Naphora, building on the foundations already in place and continuing to develop the function as the company grows.
It's a broad, hands-on generalist role covering the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, performance, workforce planning, learning and development, culture, employee experience, compliance, and day-to-day People operations.
You'll work closely with leadership and managers to make sure we have the right people, structures, and support in place, while continuing to build and improve our People practices as Naphora grows.
Responsibilities
People, Performance & Development
- Partner with leadership and managers on people priorities, challenges, and decisions
- Own the performance management and appraisal cycle, including goal setting, performance reviews, feedback, development plans, and performance improvement
- Build and maintain talent matrices to assess performance, potential, key talent, and development needs across teams
- Lead talent reviews, career development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives
- Identify learning and development needs and coordinate relevant training and development opportunities
- Support employee relations and be a trusted point of contact for employees and managers
- Help strengthen company culture, communication, accountability, and ways of working
Workforce & Talent
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, headcount, team structures, and future talent needs
- Identify skills and capability gaps and translate business needs into hiring priorities
- Own end-to-end recruitment across technical, creative, product, marketing, and operational roles
- Manage sourcing, screening, interviews, candidate experience, offers, and closing
- Build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Support compensation reviews, benchmarking, promotions, and other talent decisions
People Operations & Compliance
- Own day-to-day HR and People operations across the employee lifecycle
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, contracts, employee changes, leave, probation periods, and People records
- Coordinate employment and contractor arrangements across different locations
- Maintain People policies, documentation, and processes and ensure compliance with relevant employment requirements
- Maintain accurate employee and workforce data and provide relevant insights to leadership
- Look for ways to simplify and improve People processes as the company grows
Success Looks Like
- Building a People function that employees, managers, and leadership trust
- Having the right talent and team structures in place to support the business
- Running effective appraisals and talent reviews that give clear visibility into performance, potential, and development needs
- Creating a high-performance culture with clear expectations, regular feedback, and development opportunities
- Hiring and developing strong people who raise the bar across the organization
- Running reliable and compliant day-to-day People operations
- Building practical People processes that can scale with the company without adding unnecessary bureaucracy
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in HR, People & Culture, or a senior People generalist role
- Experience in gaming, technology, startups, and international teams is preferred
- Strong generalist experience across talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, workforce planning, and People operations
- Experience managing performance appraisals, talent reviews, and talent matrices
- Experience working closely with managers and senior leadership
- Strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle and HR compliance
- Experience building and improving People policies, processes, and practices
- Good judgment and confidence handling sensitive and complex people matters
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
- People-oriented, approachable, and enthusiastic, with the ability to build strong relationships and trust across the company
- Fluent in English and Arabic
