Property & Hospitality Roles — Single Person or Couple

We’re looking for one or two friendly, capable, flexible and reliable people to join our small team in Vilarinha and Carrapateira, both located in the stunning Costa Vicentina Natural Park in southwest Portugal.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone — or a couple — who loves hospitality, nature and variety in their work, and who enjoys working independently in a peaceful rural environment.

About the Role

You’ll help us manage and maintain five beautiful holiday properties within a quiet hamlet, as well as occasionally assist at Casa Fajara, our small, rustic boutique hotel nearby.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day management of the properties
• Carrying out or coordinating small maintenance jobs, such as grass cutting, simple repairs, painting, etc.
• Communicating with and supporting our cleaning team, ensuring the properties are spotless and guest-ready
• Welcoming and assisting guests during their stay, when needed, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise
• Organising and overseeing tradespeople when required
• Helping with pool maintenance — training can be provided

If there are two of you, we can also include:

• Helping with cleaning and changeovers between guests
• Supporting Casa Fajara with breakfast service and occasional evening meals
• Assisting with general hospitality and guest services

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who are:

• Legally entitled to work in the EU
• Holders of a valid driving licence — a driving licence is essential for this position
• Holders of a valid passport
• Friendly, hands-on, reliable and responsible
• Practical and organised, with a good eye for detail
• Confident communicating with guests and tradespeople
• Happy to live and work in a rural, peaceful location
• Fluent in English or with a good level of English; basic Portuguese is a plus
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team

A hands-on approach is essential — we are a small team and sometimes it’s all hands on deck!

For applicants from outside the EU, we can discuss the possibility of a trial period and a contract, subject to the relevant Portuguese immigration and employment requirements.

This opportunity is ideal for a couple looking to spend the late summer, autumn and winter in Portugal, or for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and working independently.
