The Position
As our E-commerce Specialist, you play an important role in optimising the performance and customer experience of our e-commerce platforms across European markets. Combining e-commerce operations, content management, SEO, conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and data analysis, you make sure customers can easily discover, understand and purchase our products online.
On a daily basis, you work on improving and commercially optimising our webshop, from product launches and campaigns to merchandising, onsite search, SEO and conversion. Using data and customer behaviour, you identify opportunities and translate these into concrete improvements that contribute to revenue growth, conversion, average order value and customer satisfaction.
You work closely with the E-commerce Director and colleagues across Digital, Marketing, Creative, Product Development, Customer Care and Supply Chain. This makes it a broad, hands-on e-commerce role where commercial performance, data and customer experience come together.
Key responsibilities
E-commerce operations & site management
- Manage day-to-day e-commerce operations, ensuring products, bundles, collections, navigation, filters and onsite search are accurate and commercially optimised.
- Execute product launches, promotions, campaigns and seasonal assortment changes across our European markets.
- Optimise product visibility, onsite search and recommendations based on customer behaviour, commercial priorities, sales performance and stock availability.
- Collaborate with Product Development and Supply Chain to manage the online product lifecycle, from setup and launch to replenishment and discontinuation.
E-commerce performance & campaigns
- Monitor and analyse e-commerce performance using Shopify Analytics and other relevant tools.
- Translate data into actionable improvements across merchandising, campaigns, content, CRO and SEO.
- Implement campaigns across website touchpoints and coordinate the required copy, imagery, banners and assets with Marketing and Digital Design.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and monitor campaign performance to continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
CRO & customer experience
- Analyse customer behaviour and website performance to identify conversion barriers, usability issues and commercial opportunities.
- Support the E-commerce Director in developing and prioritising the CRO and A/B testing roadmap.
- Stay up to date with e-commerce trends, competitor activity and industry best practices and translate these into opportunities for Marie-Stella-Maris.
SEO
- Apply SEO best practices across product, collection and landing pages.
- Conduct keyword research and optimise metadata, headings, internal links, URLs, image alt text and onsite copy.
- Ensure SEO requirements are considered from the start in campaigns, product launches and website developments.

And Who Bring…
- At least 3 years of experience in e-commerce operations, website merchandising or a similar e-commerce role.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics 4.
- A good understanding of CRO, customer journeys, usability, A/B testing and e-commerce SEO.
- Experience with tools such as Billy Grace, AB Tasty, BrightEdge, Figma, Air360, Voyado and Monday.com is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English. Dutch language skills are a plus, as is proficiency in another relevant European language.
- Experience within beauty, body care, home care, fragrance, lifestyle or premium consumer goods is a plus.
