The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is looking for a HUB Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our location in Ludvika, Vesteras, and Stockholm Sweden. In this role, you will lead and drive sustainable, transformational change across multiple European HUB product lines and factories. You will focus on process improvement, ITM (Integrated Transformer Management) system maturity, and measurable improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs). You will act as a trusted business partner to HUB leadership team members and Factory Managers.
HUB CI team is an efficient team of 6 people influencing and managing the ITM framework for 18 factories in 3 Product Lines.
How you’ll make an impact
- Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to develop and operationalize the Hoshin Kanri process, including breakthrough objectives, action plans, KPIs, and Kaizen plans that support organizational priorities.
- Lead the operationalization of the Strategy Deployment process, ensuring effective Leader Standard Work and a connected Lean daily management system.
- Act as a change agent and champion in a continuous improvement culture focused on waste elimination across the organization, using ITM Lean methods, processes, and tools such as 6S, Daily Management, LSW, VSM, TPM, and Kaizen.
- Drive KPI optimization across the factories and functional organizations you support. Lead and facilitate process improvement initiatives and partner with cross-functional teams at all levels to strengthen the use of ITM tools and improve productivity.
- Build continuous improvement capability through training and implementation of ITM and digitalization tools. Serve as a subject matter expert on the ITM system, coaching others and building organizational maturity, employee engagement, accountability, and KPI improvements.

Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, combined with at least five years of experience in Lean operating or management systems, continuous improvement, manufacturing, engineering, and/or process improvement.
- Experience implementing operating systems such as the Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Honeywell Operating System, or similar methodologies.
- A proven track record of delivering breakthrough results with measurable business impact.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset, with strong communication skills and the ability to foster teamwork across functions and locations.
- Ability to challenge conventional thinking, improve existing methodologies, and lead teams through influence without direct authority.
- Proven ability to coordinate and lead remote teams across different geographic locations.
- Lean or Lean Six Sigma Certification, such as Lean Leader, Black Belt, or equivalent.
- Flexibility to travel 30-50% abroad in Europe.
