About Us
Global, inclusive and innovative - welcome to AMS, where talent connects across cultures and backgrounds to shape the future of work.
We work with leading organizations to design and deliver talent strategies that bring together people, process, data and technology, helping millions of people find meaningful work every year. Our diverse, connected community collaborates to create results for clients and opportunities for our people to learn, grow and make an impact.
At AMS, we look for people who bring more than experience, and we welcome different perspectives and ways of thinking.
The Role
What if your skills mattered more than your job title?
At AMS, we’re building teams that are curious, collaborative, and committed to doing great work. We’re looking for a Colleague Support Advisor who enjoys supporting colleagues through change, values teamwork, and takes pride in making a real difference to people’s careers.
AMS delivers Career Transition Services (CTS) to Barclays to support colleagues through sensitive, colleague‑impacting change with clarity, control and consistency. The Colleague Support Advisor (CSA) plays a pivotal, colleague‑facing role within this service, providing proactive, insight‑led and outcome‑focused redeployment support to colleagues impacted by organisational change.
Operating at the heart of the colleague experience, the CSA is accountable for actively influencing redeployment outcomes – not simply completing tasks. The role requires early intervention, confident advocacy of Internals First, strong collaboration with Recruiting and Professional Hiring teams, and disciplined use of data, insight and systems to more effectively identify and match colleagues to suitable internal opportunities, ensuring colleagues progress quickly and confidently into roles aligned to their skills and experience.
If you’re skilled at coaching, advocating, and guiding colleagues through transitions – and excited to grow in a supportive, people-focused environment – you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
Key Accountabilities
What you’ll do:
- Apply your expertise to provide structured, empathetic 1:1 support to colleagues impacted by change, ensuring clarity, confidence, and psychological safety throughout their redeployment journey.
- Use insight, time-based triggers, and risk indicators to proactively manage an assigned colleague caseload rather than waiting for inbound requests.
- Support colleagues in identifying suitable internal opportunities, leveraging data and insight to inform job matching, conducting regular job searches, sharing roles promptly, and coaching colleagues on next steps.
- Take ownership of colleague progression by tracking interviews, outcomes, and blockers, intervening early to prevent stalled redeployment journeys.
- Apply empathy, professionalism, and honesty when handling challenging conversations, such as role suitability, rejection feedback, or time pressures.
- Take accountability for redeployment outcomes beyond activity-based measures, ensuring colleagues achieve successful internal moves.
- Identify early warning signs, such as lack of interview traction, repeated rejections, or disengagement, and take timely action to improve outcomes.
- Escalate colleague risks appropriately to Team Leaders or Project Managers, providing diagnostic insight and recommended actions.
- Maintain focus on successful redeployment, internal progression, and sustaining colleague confidence.
- Collaborate with Recruiting and Professional Hiring teams to build trusted, professional relationships.
- Advocate proactively for redeployees, clearly articulating transferable skills, role suitability, and readiness.
- Use recruiter feedback to improve colleague coaching, applications, and interview readiness.
- Reinforce Internals First messaging consistently and confidently across all recruiting interactions.
- Apply high standards of professionalism to handle sensitive colleague data, adhering strictly to Barclays, CTS, and AMS data protection, confidentiality, risk, and control standards.
- Assess colleague-level risks early, including wellbeing concerns, vulnerability, disengagement, or distress arising from organisational change.
- Balance empathy and colleague care with control discipline, ensuring safe and consistent support aligned to governance frameworks.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality records across Avature and other CTS systems, documenting colleague journeys, actions, and outcomes.
- Apply MI, dashboards, and data effectively to manage caseloads, prioritise activity, and trigger proactive outreach and interventions.
- Demonstrate disciplined system usage to support reliable reporting, and insight-driven decision-making.
- Understand how CSA activity and data quality contribute to wider service outcomes, including redeployment success rates, time to redeploy, and colleague experience.
- Collaborate closely with CSA peers, Team Leaders, Project Managers, Recruiting, and Data & Insights colleagues to deliver a joined-up service.
- Participate in case reviews, huddles, and team forums to resolve complex cases and share insight.
- Capture and apply feedback from colleagues and recruiters to enhance service quality and colleague experience.
Skills & Requirements
