Responsibilities
Conduct regression testing within the vehicle to validate overall functionality at a broad and high level.
Perform targeted, in‑depth testing on known Infotainment issue areas, focusing on system integrity and performance.
Carry out exploratory testing from an end‑user/customer perspective.
Participate in extended driving campaigns—potentially lasting several days—across Sweden or wider Europe.
Validate driver‑assistance call features and ensure they operate as intended.
Test various applications integrated with vehicle systems (e.g., Driver Information Monitor, Climate and Vehicle controls, Charging and Vehicle settings, Park Assist Camera, AD/ADAS features, and status notifications).
Execute cross‑platform validation to confirm functional consistency across varied hardware setups.
Identify, reproduce, and thoroughly document defects with clear, actionable bug reports.
Run both manual and automated test cases (when applicable) and prepare weekly regression test reports.
Collaborate closely with development teams to clarify requirements and align on expected system behaviors.
Use designated tools for test case management, documentation, and issue tracking.
Skills
Must have
Demonstrated background in testing within automotive or embedded system environments
Hands-on experience executing test cases on different test setups (test rigs, vehicle, etc) and reporting defects.
Skilled in using documentation and issue‑tracking platforms such as Jira.
Solid understanding of in‑vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
Proficient with simulation and analysis tools, including CANoe and CANalyzer.
Ability to capture CAN/DLT logs using logging equipment.
Proficient with flashing tools, eg. DSA.
Working knowledge of tools like Car Weaver, Teamcenter, and Elektra.
Practical experience with vehicle hardware, including ECU replacement and basic diagnostic procedures.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within agile development teams.
Demonstrates strong teamwork skills, contributing effectively within a collaborative environment.
Approaches tasks with a practical and pragmatic mindset.
Communicates clearly and confidently to advise and support the organization.
Effectively conveys technical findings to stakeholders with varying levels of expertise.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Holds a valid European B‑class driver’s license and is comfortable operating test vehicles.
Nice to have
ISTQB Foundation Level.
Familiarity with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and QNX‑based Infotainment platforms.
Hold T1, T2, or T3 special driving licenses.
Availability for travelling and participate in driving campaigns in Sweden and Europe.
