As a Supply Chain and Quality Manager (d/f/m) for our Safety Systems, you are part of our Supply Chain & Quality team, where you'll oversee and improve all aspects of our suppliers' operational performance.
Think of yourself as the main point of contact for our suppliers. Your goal is to ensure products are delivered on time and with top quality, while also driving ongoing improvements throughout the supply chain. You are in charge of the overall performance and compliance of your suppliers.
You will thrive in a dynamic, challenging environment, balancing short-term reactivity (e.g., mitigating delivery gaps) with strategic long-term groundwork to ensure supplier compliance and ramp-up readiness. Your location

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Act as the primary interface with suppliers for dedicated work packages within the Multi-Functional Team Safety Systems (Safety Systems, Exterior Lights, High Lift Systems, Flight Controls, Power Distribution, General Equipment) across all commercial aircraft programs
- Manage, monitor, and report supplier performance using key delivery and quality indicators (such as On-Time and On-Quality performance / D1 & R1)
- Ensure continuous supplier compliance with Airbus and aviation authority standards (e.g., POA, QMS, GRESS/ASR) through reviews and assessments such as Supplier Control Reviews (SCR) and process audits (e.g. Product or Procedure Audits)
- Drive recovery and continuous improvement: Lead root cause analysis (8D), implement containment actions, and execute supplier development programs (e.g. Business Improvement Plans)
- Secure supplier capacity & capabilities: Evaluate industrial risks and capacity (CMA) to safeguard ramp-up readiness
- Lead transnational working groups within the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) and contribute to New Product Introductions (NPI) and Transfer of Work (ToW) projects
Your boarding pass
- University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent
- Several years of relevant professional experience in one or several of those domains: Supply Chain & Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Customer Support and Operations
- Communication skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Stakeholder management, negotiation skills
- Influencing, assertiveness, ability to challenge the status quo with all hierarchical levels of a suppliers' management
- High degree of autonomy and organization skills
- Negotiation level in English, German would be a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally (4–6 trips per year)
- Global mindset and flexibility to collaborate with international suppliers across different time zones
