Your new role
As a Principal ADME Scientist, you will be responsible for evaluating ADME and DDI risks and strategies from late-stage discovery through non-clinical and clinical development to regulatory submission. Working across a diverse portfolio, you will provide scientific leadership on ADME- and DDI-related questions, support key project decisions, and contribute to advancing programmes throughout drug development.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
Design, conduct, and interpret in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate ADME and DDI profiles of drug candidates across modalities (small molecules, peptides and biologics) both in-house and with contract research organisations (CROs)
Inform and guide projects on ADME- and DDI-related topics
Interacting with regulatory authorities, including providing written input to regulatory documents (e.g. IB, IND, IMPD, BLA, NDA)
Champion innovation and new scientific initiatives for early and late-stage development programs by proactively reviewing literature and other technological advancements in the scientific area
Interpret and translate results and put them into the appropriate scientific context to support sound project decisions
Independently identify, analyse, and resolve unique and complex scientific and strategic challenges that may have a broad impact on the project portfolio
Communicate complex scientific data, conclusions, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders with diverse scientific and professional backgrounds
Your new department
In Development ADME, we are responsible for evaluation of drug disposition, metabolism and excretion and DDI from late-stage discovery, throughout non-clinical and clinical development towards drug registration. We work with several stakeholders within R&D and conduct different types of ADME, and DDI studies to support the drug safety evaluation, regulatory submissions, and the drug label.
You will be part of a team, which consist of scientists and laboratory technicians: all highly skilled and dedicated people working together in an open and scientifically challenging environment. We are open-minded and value collaboration, scientific discussions, and knowledge-sharing.
Your skills & qualifications
To succeed in the role, you have:
Ph.D. is preferred or Master’s degree within pharmaceutical or medical sciences or equivalent area
Several years of relevant experience within ADME and ideally DDI in drug development in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
Flair for and solid experience with bioanalytical and/or mass spectrometric approaches for characterisation and quantification of drug candidates and metabolites
Solid experience with ADME and DDI study conduct
Demonstrated knowledge of interpretation and translation of results from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo ADME, and DDI studies
Outstanding ability to identify challenges, develop strategies, and translate them into relevant study designs
Experience with due diligence evaluation within ADME and DDI is an advantage
Strong understanding of scientific and strategic principles of drug development
As a person, you are open-minded, keen to learn new skills and able to communicate with experts in other areas. You have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively interact with colleagues with a variety of backgrounds. Furthermore, you have demonstrated experience and a keen interest in mentoring and sharing knowledge with junior scientists and colleagues.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600.00 to 1,091,600.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
