Amentum is seeking a Property Administrator to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Property Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining records, inventory, and documentation for government and contractor owned property. This position ensures accurate accountability, tracking, transfer, storage, and disposition of property in accordance with regulations, company policies, and government requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate records and documentation for government and contractor owned property.
- Conduct inventories and control processes to ensure properly property accountability.
- Coordinate the receipt, issuance, transfer, storage, and disposition of property in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive properly databases and ensure records are accurate and updated in a timely manner.
- Conduct physical inventories and inspections to verify property accountability and compliance.
- Develop and implement procedures for the proper labeling, tracking, storage, and control of property.
- Prepare reports regarding property status, discrepancies, losses, damages, or changes in accountability.
- Monitor and enforce applicable property management regulations and standards, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
- Investigate and document property loss, damage, destruction, or discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Coordinate property administration activities with logistics, procurement, warehousing, and other internal departments.
- Communicate with government property management representatives regarding property records, discrepancies, and compliance requirements.
- Support internal and external audits of property records, systems, and processes.
- Ensure property management activities are conducted in accordance with established policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of property related records and information.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in property administration, inventory management, asset management, or a related field.
- Property management training.
- Familiarity with property tracking systems, databases, and related software.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of FAR and other government property management requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
- Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
- Must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce
- A valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Property management training or certification preferred.
- Familiarity with DoD regulations and procedures governing government and contractor owned property.

Working Environment
This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in offices, industrial warehouses, ports, airfields, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.
Physical Requirements
Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
