Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Signalling Configuration Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Solna, Sweden.

Accountabilities
- Ensure the delivery of Signalling Software (SW) design and configuration activities for the signalling system in compliance with project requirements, quality standards, budget, and schedule.
- Ensure the delivery of Functional Signalling Design documentation, including schemes, specifications, test reports, system requirements and architecture documents, interface control documents, scheme plans, control tables, block design, and related analyses, in accordance with industry standards, company processes, and project requirements.
- Lead and ensure the execution of reviews for configuration activities, including input data verification, data preparation, parameter production, and software file generation.
- Ensure that all input data, technical documentation, and executable software files are issued, managed, and controlled in accordance with company processes, procedures, and configuration management guidelines.
- Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of engineering, design, and configuration management processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Ensure the effective implementation of lessons learned by identifying design errors, process inefficiencies, and tool-related issues, while documenting corrective and preventive actions to support continuous improvement.
- Provide accurate effort and schedule estimates (hours and timelines) for assigned tasks to the Work Package Leader (WPL), Project Engineer (PE), Project Manager (PM), or Line Manager (LM).
- Interface and coordinate effectively with System Engineering, Work Package Leaders, Planning, Verification & Validation (V&V), System Integration, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Education/Qualifications
Engineering Degree or equivalent technical background.
Languages
Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken)
