We are seeking a Lead Full-Stack Developer with a proven ability to deliver complex web applications, guide technical teams, and leverage modern AI capabilities. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in either React or Angular on the front end, Node.js on the back end, and is comfortable architecting solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Please note, office work at least 3 days from EPAM office in Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Katowice or Lodz is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of full-stack applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
- Mentor and coach cross-functional developers, establishing best practices around code quality, testing, DevOps, and AI integration
- Collaborate with product, UX, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions that deliver measurable value
- Evaluate and integrate AI/ML services where appropriate, optimizing workflows and customer experiences through automation and intelligence
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial software development experience with a strong track record of shipping full-stack applications
- Advanced proficiency in front-end development using React or Angular and back-end development with Node.js
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Practical AI experience (e.g., integrating generative AI APIs, building ML-powered features, or deploying AI-enabled services)
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring engineers, guiding architecture decisions, and managing code quality within agile teams
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), automated testing, and observability best practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
