Technical Leader is responsible for the technical leadership and technical execution governance of Protection & Control projects across the full project lifecycle.
The role acts as the primary technical authority for the project, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, technical solution, engineering execution, testing and delivery. Job Description
Key Interfaces
- Project Manager
- System Engineers across CCS, DCS and Consulting
- Drafting, Manufacturing / MU, Field Service and other support functions
- Customers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical kick-off, technical clarification and scope alignment with customer requirements, tendering inputs and project risk matrix.
- Own the review of technical specifications versus the offered solution and define the technical baseline for execution.
- Define and approve the main technical solution, including architecture, schematics, system and IED configuration, major hardware definition / BOM decisions, network / ports definition and master file approach. Executing when projects requires.
- Own the internal technical documentation plan, technical deliverables strategy and engineering schedule for the project.
- Coordinate engineering execution across disciplines and subcontractors, ensuring consistency of technical outputs and timely resolution of interfaces.
- Define and document pre-FAT and FAT protocols, validation approach and technical readiness criteria.
- Track customer technical inputs, internal engineering inputs, technical comments resolution and technical
deliverables submission.
- Lead technical quality discussions, technical non-conformities follow-up and escalation of risks affecting delivery,
quality, cost or schedule.
- Coordinate technical preparation of pre-FAT, FAT and SAT handover, including snag list definition, closure follow-up
and technical transfer to Field Service.
- Act as technical reference point for the project team, support problem resolution and drive standardization, lessons learned and continuous improvement.
- Support capability development through mentoring, technical guidance and knowledge transfer inside the team.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or similar technical discipline.
- Solid experience in Protection & Control, Substation Automation or equivalent engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of substation solutions, communication protocols and system integration concepts.
- Ability to lead technical discussions with customers and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering activities
- Proven experience with relevant projects .
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization and communication skills in a complex project environment.
- Good command of English; additional languages valued depending on project scope.
- Availability to travel up to 30% as required by project, customer, and business needs Additional Information ==========================
