Finance BI Architect (Power BI, Data, Financial Analytics) —

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with an interest in financial reporting and analytics to join our team. This role has ownership of Finance’s data, Power BI semantic models, metrics, and architecture. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Data Engineering.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, delivering and maintaining Power BI solutions that support Finance, FP&A, Business Control, Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Management teams.

You will work closely with Finance stakeholders to transform financial and operational data into meaningful models, enabling improved decision-making and business performance management. Skills & requirements

• 5+ years of Power BI development experience.
• 3+ years working closely with Finance, FP&A, Controlling or Accounting functions.
• Strong understanding of: DAX, M, SQL, Data Modelling
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand both business processes and underlying data structures.
• Proven experience building:
  • Financial reports
  • Budget & Forecast dashboards
  • Management Dashboards
• Experience translating complex financial requirements into BI solutions

• Understands finance as well as data.
• Can discuss EBITDA, Gross Margin, OPEX, CAPEX, and Cash Flow with Finance leaders.
• Has the technical skills to build robust Power BI solutions and the business acumen to understand what drives financial performance.
• Enjoys partnering directly with Finance teams to deliver measurable business value.

Job responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analytics* Develop and maintain Power BI solutions supporting:

• Month-end Closing,
• Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow analysis,
• Budget & Forecasting planning,
• Transfer Pricing

Development & Data Modelling

• Design, build, maintain and optimize Financial Power BI Semantic Models that serve as the foundation for management reporting, financial analytics and Excel-based self-service reporting.
• Own the Finance data, defining business requirements, data structures, and transformation logic required to support reporting and analytics.
• Work closely with Data Engineering who own the pipelines and infrastructure.

Business Partnership* Translate business and finance requirements into analytical solutions.

• Collaborate with Controllers, Accountants, Managers, and business stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on reporting, modelling best practices, data and KPI definitions.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and reporting automation.
