Senior International Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll Specialist to coordinate and oversee payroll activities across multiple countries within an outsourced payroll model. The position works closely with the Global Payroll Manager and focuses primarily on payroll governance, quality assurance, compliance, process development, and coordination, rather than day-to-day payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

Global Payroll Coordination

Coordinate payroll activities across multiple countries and ensure accurate and timely delivery.

Serve as the main point of contact for external payroll providers.

Manage monthly payroll timelines, deliverables, and deadlines.

Provide backup support for the Global Payroll Manager when required.

Payroll Controls & Compliance

Carry out payroll validations, controls, and reconciliations.

Review payroll reports, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions.

Support compliance with applicable local requirements and internal policies.

Maintain relevant payroll documentation and provide support during audits.

Process Improvement

Support the development and standardization of global payroll processes.

Establish and maintain clear payroll workflows and process documentation.

Identify opportunities for automation, improved efficiency, and stronger payroll controls.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the global payroll function.

Systems & Data

Coordinate payroll data and inputs from the HRIS platform (HiBob).

Ensure payroll data is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.

Work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll partners to maintain reliable data flows.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Collaborate with Finance on payroll reporting and reconciliations.

Support HR with payroll-related matters and questions.

Maintain effective relationships with external payroll providers and coordinate the resolution of payroll issues.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience working with global or multi-country payroll, preferably within an outsourced payroll environment.

Strong understanding of payroll processes, controls, reconciliations, and governance.

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.

Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.

Ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, external providers, and other stakeholders in an international environment.

Advantageous Experience

Experience working with external payroll providers such as BDO, Deel, or similar providers.

Experience establishing or developing payroll processes and workflows.

Experience supporting payroll audits and working with compliance frameworks.

Experience with process automation and payroll efficiency initiatives.
