Let’s Talk about the Role

The Finance Operations IA Expert will support GE Vernova’s Electrification AI Transformation Program through financial operations, budget tracking, KPI reporting, and data-driven insights. The role will drive Standard Work, process transformation, Lean, and AI-enabled automation, while supporting key stakeholders and ensuring operational excellence and effective execution.

What You’ll Do

• Track and consolidate the overall program budget across multiple projects, ensuring data accuracy and financial transparency.
• Monitor budget performance, identify variances and risks, and provide data-driven recommendations to support financial decisions.
• Define and track project and program-level KPIs, providing clear visibility of financial and operational performance.
• Prepare automated weekly reports, dashboards, and actionable insights for leadership and key stakeholders.
• Provide regular status updates on project health, deliverables, progress against plan, and overall performance.
• Lead the creation, documentation, and implementation of Standard Work to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
• Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities, contributing to Lean and process transformation initiatives.
• Challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve operational workflows.
• Identify and support automation and AI opportunities, including AI-enabled solutions and agent-based tools.
• Partner with the Program Lead to support strategic priorities, Councils, Technology events, Kaizens, and other key initiatives.
• Coordinate meeting preparation, content, logistics, actions, and follow-up to ensure priorities and deliverables remain on track.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Project Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to drive execution and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Experience in PMO, Finance, Business Operations, or technical/IT Operations.
• Experience using AI tools and technologies to improve processes, develop solutions, or drive operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical and Lean mindset, with experience in process improvement.
• Highly organized, with strong budget tracking and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Advanced Excel/Power BI and familiarity with Jira/Azure DevOps.
• Fluent English with strong stakeholder communication skills.

• AI experience with a creative and practical approach to developing solutions and applications.
• Ability to build Standard Work and processes from scratch, with a proactive, creative, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience in project/program finance or controlling, including KPI definition, consolidation, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Smartsheet skills and experience automating reporting and turning data into actionable recommendations.
