Your Task

At the Telco Hub in Madrid, we are seeking System Engineers, Project Managers, and Test Managers to join our WLAN CSA Squad. The team is responsible for the entire lifecycle management for the CSA Wifi/hotspot platform. The WLAN CSA Squad consists of 11 team members and holds end-to-end responsibility for the WLAN CSA platform. We are looking for 3 System Engineers, 1 Project Manager, and 2 Test Managers to join our team for the WLAN CSA platforms. You will be working closely with our developers and partners to design, integrate, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot the platform.

Responsibilities

• Being responsible for the entire lifecycle management for CSA Platform within an operational team
• Implementation and operation of virtualized and Kubernetes based environments
• Analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation of system malfunctions
• Integration and optimization of application specific counters into new methods and tools for data analysis and monitoring
• Rollout management throughout the entire application lifecycle based on ITIL/corporate processes (Incident/problem/change)
• Integrate new services including monitoring and alarm integration/adaption of existing service alarming and monitoring
• Future migration of the CSA platforms to new cloud platforms
• Streamline processes, enhance software and system performance and apply innovative technologies and concepts as part of the operations team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable end-to-end system functionality
• Willingness to perform tasks outside of regular working hours during the night (max 2/year) and participation in on-call duty (7*24) (max 2/year)

Your Profile

We are looking for a System Engineer with strong technical expertise in Linux-based systems, networking protocols, virtualization, containerization, and DevOps tools to manage the entire lifecycle of the CSA Wifi/hotspot platform.

Must Have Skills

• Know-how in troubleshooting of IPv4/IPv6 networks
• Knowledge of protocols such as TCP, UDP, Radius, and HTTP
• Experience with tracing tools (e.g. Wireshark)
• Working experience in Linux-based operating systems
• Experience with virtualization or containerized solutions based on Linux
• Knowledge of security patch management
• Fundamental know-how in DevOps CI/CD tools (GitLab, Artifactory, Helm, Flux)
• Experience with monitoring systems like Grafana, Promtail, and Prometheus
• Experience in operation/integration of REST based APIs
• Knowledge of modern security protocols
• Basic programming and scripting knowledge (Ansible, Bash, Python)
• Good English skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to perform tasks outside of regular working hours during the night (max 2 per year)
• Participation in on-call duty 7x24 (max 2 per year)

Nice to Have Skills

• Basic German skills
• Very good analytical skills combined with strong quality awareness
• Experience in classic and agile forms of cooperation
• Being on-call for approximately 6 weeks per year
• Ability to perform changes outside of regular working hours
