Train Lodge Amsterdam is hiring a Receptionist / Front Desk Employee to join our international team. In this guest-facing role, you’ll work in a unique hostel environment, handling check-ins, customer service, and bar duties—perfect if you enjoy variety and meeting people from all over the world.

About Train Lodge Amsterdam

We are a one-of-a-kind hostel where guests stay in authentic train carriages from the former Zürich–Rome night train. Located next to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, we offer easy access to the city and a truly memorable guest experience.

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)

• Guest check-in and check-out (front desk)
• Deliver excellent customer service and guest support
• Bar service (drinks and simple food)
• Provide tourist information about Amsterdam
• Handle payments and cash management
• Communicate with booking platforms (OTA partners)
• Perform light cleaning and routine checks
• Ensure guest safety, comfort, and smooth daily operations

Working hours (Flexible schedule)

• Morning shift: 07:00 – 15:00
• Evening shift: 15:00 – 23:00

What we’re looking for

• HBO level of thinking and working
• Good command of English (Dutch or other languages are a plus)
• Experience in hospitality / horeca / hotel / hostel is preferred
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
• Proactive and comfortable with multitasking
• Living in Amsterdam
