About the Opportunity

Build, automate and support cloud platforms that power corporate business functions in an international insurance environment.

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will work with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps and Terraform, contributing to infrastructure projects, cloud migrations and reliable platform operations. You will collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations, translating business needs into secure, efficient and maintainable technical solutions.

This role combines hands-on engineering, architectural input and operational ownership, with opportunities to explore new technologies and improve platform performance and infrastructure costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to infrastructure development for migrations, new business requirements and proofs of concept.
• Support architecture design and estimate technical implementation effort.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates with Azure ARM and Terraform.
• Test and monitor implemented solutions to ensure quality and reliability.
• Manage day-to-day operations for non-production environments.
• Handle incidents, service requests and changes.
• Perform regular platform security reviews and support vulnerability detection and remediation.
• Monitor platforms and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and infrastructure costs.
• Produce clear, accurate technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily meetings and sprint planning.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Transfer knowledge to L2 support teams and support recurring annual operational activities.

Essential Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in consulting, process and IT implementation within an international environment.
• Experience collaborating with teams across multiple locations.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience developing IaC with Azure ARM templates and Terraform.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Git and source control practices.
• Good understanding of IT architecture, cloud frameworks and cloud security.
• Strong analytical, algorithmic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and documentation skills.
• A proactive approach to improving performance, resource usage and infrastructure costs.
• English B2+, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international team.
• Availability to work onsite in Moscavide, Lisbon, twice per week.

You work methodically, document your decisions and take ownership of delivery quality. You communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders and actively identify ways to improve security, performance and cost efficiency.
