  • Review account reconciliations related to Marketing expense balances, ensuring timely resolution of open items and reconciling differences.

  • Perform and oversee in-scope SOX and non-SOX control activities within the Marketing expense area.

  • Execute full SOX operational reviews to assess compliance of in-scope controls and support deficiency-free audits.

  • Identify, track, and remediate open control deficiencies related to Marketing expense processes.

  • Coordinate internal and external audit requests for the Marketing expense area, ensuring timely, clear, and complete responses.

  • Act as the key accounting representative between Business stakeholders and FP&A for Marketing expenses, helping streamline processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

  • Provide clear accounting guidance and challenge where needed to improve the quality, consistency, and control of end-to-end expense recognition.

  • Drive process improvements across the Marketing accounting area, with a focus on strengthening scalability, standardization, and control effectiveness.

  • Ensure initiatives are delivered on time and in line with expectations, including:

    • Optimization of Brand marketing accruals
    • Discovery and implementation support for BlackLine auto-reconciliations
    • Performance marketing flux commentary AI automation
    • Ad hoc projects driven by newly identified priorities
  • Support a sustainable operating model by helping establish clearer ownership, stronger oversight, and improved execution across the Marketing accounting stream.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in accounting and financial close processes within a complex international environment.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry reviews, and month-end close execution.
  • Proven experience working within a structured financial control environment, including control execution, review, and remediation of identified deficiencies.
