Required
- Master and PhD’s degrees in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Advanced training in embryology and significant hands-on experience working within an IVF laboratory environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IVF laboratory processes, ART procedures, and fertility technologies.
- Proven ability to influence and drive change through a collaborative and partnership-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence scientific and clinical audiences.
- Ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and effectively communicate study findings.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high level of autonomy.
- Passionate about education and continual learning, improving in skill set and professional development.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence across professional education initiatives
- Excellent scientific writing skills, with fluency in written and spoken English. Proficient in communicating in French, German, and Spanish.
- Successful completion of applicable background screening requirements, including employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification where applicable.
Preferred
- Laboratory director qualification or equivalent advanced certification.
- Proven record of publications Proven curriculum in PE (lecturing, moderator, chairperson, organizing courses.)
Travel Requirement
This position requires extensive domestic and international travel, estimated at 80+ days annually .

Your recruitment team will be able to share more information about any variable pay opportunity and benefit package that accompanies this role. The good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is 81.000 to 117.000 Euro Annually. The actual amount offered is determined by a number of factors including but not limited to location, skills and experience.
The Director, Professional Education is a senior leadership role and a critical contributor to the success of CooperSurgical's Fertility business. Professional Education and Clinical Support are core components of our value proposition, and CooperSurgical is recognized globally for delivering evidence based high-quality training, scientific education across the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) field.
The Director of Professional Education will be responsible for establishing a relevant training program for hCPs (embryologists, clinicians, nurses and scientists) , meeting the needs of the market and ensuring that the right resources are available for training courses.
The Director of Professional Education will be an active part of the team providing hands-on education with demonstration of ART techniques and procedures, such as trophectoderm biopsies and ICSI in connection with evidence based theoretical lecturing. Hands-on education also includes simulator training of clinical staff. Hands-on courses will be held at the Centre of Excellence in EMEA. In addition, the Director will be responsible for virtual education like virtual courses, global webinars and implementing animated E-learning modules.
The Director will also be responsible for identifying the training and educational needs of clinical staff in the ART market and managing relationships with subject matter experts and KOLs who will participate as faculty in these training programs.
The Director of Professional Education, EMEA, will report to a work closely with the Global Senior Director to develop and align course content worldwide and will be a member of the Global Educational Faculty at CooperSurgical Fertility Solutions.
Furthermore, the position will require close cooperation with sales management to support with customer visits to the centre of excellence.
Important for the position is the ability to provide leadership and help to position CooperSurgical as a leader in education in the ART space. The Director of Professional Education should be self-motivated and require minimal management in their ability to perform the duties of the position. The Director of Professional Education will become a member of CooperSurgical embryologist club with regular meetings to share knowledge, best practice and be involved at the educational session at our Academy.
Requirement:
- This role is responsible for leading and advancing professional education initiatives that help IVF laboratories and clinics optimize outcomes through the effective use of CooperSurgical Fertility products. In collaboration with the rest of the team, drive the hands-on training and education programs at the Centre of Excellence, EMEA and the global workshops.
- The Director will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement solutions that drive clinical excellence, best practice adoption, and operational optimization within IVF laboratories worldwide.
- Support the additional Centre of Excellence with knowledge sharing and evidence based educational material.
- Contribute to the creation and planning of continuous enhancement of educational modules, including our global Expert Insights webinars
- Must be respected as a knowledgeable leader and be professional and persuasive in front of an audience.
- Follow up after educational events to understand knowledge and confidence gains. This should include communication on the event and key issues or learnings. Set up an E-Learning platform for a more optimised and customer centric educational offer.
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide clear guidance in development of professional education material
- Guide and train the team to be updated in the professional education activities and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality education and scientific expertise. Support team members in achieving individual and organizational objectives.
Scientific and Technical Expertise
- Serve as an expert in embryology, IVF laboratory practices, and ART technologies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and clinical developments.
- Interpret and communicate complex clinical studies and scientific findings to healthcare professionals and laboratory teams.
- Prepare and deliver scientific presentations at conferences, congresses, and educational events. Author and contribute to scientific publications, white papers, and educational materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Integrated Marketing Services (IMS) teams to ensure alignment of clinical support activities with business objectives.
- Support customer visits, product demonstrations, and educational engagements alongside commercial teams. Train and support the Clinical Application Scientists with updates in PE materials
Professional Engagement
- Participate as an active member of the CooperSurgical Embryologist Club, contributing to knowledge sharing, best practice discussions, and educational activities.
- Represent CooperSurgical at scientific meetings, congresses, workshops, and industry forums.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, clinicians, embryologists, and laboratory directors.
- Communicate with and assist the KOL-consultants in the different PE activities
