Job Description
During your 3.5-year apprenticeship, you will gradually gain experience in all areas relevant to the profession of a Mechatronics Technician. You will be supported by experienced trainers and colleagues throughout your apprenticeship.
- Mechanics and assembly: You will learn how to machine components manually and mechanically and assemble them into modules and complete measuring instruments.
- Electronics and pneumatics: You will install and connect electrical, electronic and pneumatic components.
- Technical drawings and circuit diagrams: You will learn how to read technical drawings, design documents and circuit diagrams and put them into practice.
- Sensors and control systems: You will wire sensors, drives and control systems and put them into operation.
- Testing and troubleshooting: You will test electrical equipment, systematically analyse faults and develop suitable solutions.
- Commissioning: You will test our measuring instruments and prepare them for their future use.
- Insights into our production: You will work in different areas of our production department and gain a comprehensive understanding of how our products are made.
For example, our instruments test how flour develops into dough or how plastics behave during processing. This means you can see directly what the instruments you assemble and test will later be used for.
Theory and practical experience
You will complete the theoretical part of your apprenticeship in block-release lessons at Berufskolleg West in Essen. You will then apply the knowledge you have gained directly in practice at our company.
