TotalEnergies EP Denmark (TEPDK) is looking for a curious and motivated Trainee Well Services Engineer to join our Well Services Department in Esbjerg.
From day one, you will learn alongside experienced engineers and offshore supervisors, contributing to the safe planning and delivery of well intervention and integrity activities. Through structured development, mentoring, collaboration with internal and external specialists, and periods offshore, you will build a strong technical and operational foundation. The Role As a Trainee Well Services Engineer, you will support the planning, execution, and performance evaluation of well intervention, well integrity, completion, and production enhancement activities across the TEPDK wells portfolio. Under the guidance of onshore engineers, you will develop the technical and operational skills required to deliver safe and effective well service operations, maximise asset value, maintain well barrier integrity, and comply with regulatory requirements. To build a thorough understanding of offshore operations, you will also spend periods offshore under the guidance of Well Services Supervisors.
Activités
*Key Development Areas**Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Promote TotalEnergies’ safety culture and support HSE objectives across all activities.
- Participate in HAZIDs, risk assessments, and safety reviews, ensuring risks are managed in accordance with the ALARP principle.
- Support Management of Change processes. Well Intervention & Operations* Support the planning and compliant execution of offshore, vessel-based, rig, and rigless well intervention campaigns, including wireline, coiled tubing, pumping, stimulation, scale management, and well diagnostics.
- Monitor operations and daily reports, quality-assure data, and support real-time decisions on integrity anomalies.
- Participate in operational readiness and risk reviews, post-job evaluations, and lessons-learned activities. Well Integrity Management* Support well integrity surveillance, assurance, reviews, and audits.
- Review barrier status and monitoring data, identify integrity risks, and support remediation.
- Build knowledge of well integrity management and barrier verification requirements. Engineering Activities* Prepare intervention, stimulation, completion, and maintenance programs, including calculations, cost estimates, technical reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Support annual intervention and maintenance planning.
- Assess performance against key indicators and Drilling & Wells objectives, identifying improvement opportunities. Contractor & Stakeholder Management* Support the management of contractors and service providers through technical reviews, performance evaluations, and service quality improvement initiatives.
- Build effective relationships with offshore and onshore stakeholders and contribute to technical meetings. Training & Development* Complete a structured trainee program with mentorship from experienced Well Services Engineers.
- Develop practical competency in intervention and workover operations, well integrity, engineering software, operational planning, and reporting systems.

Total Rewards Package As part of our commitment to fair and transparent remuneration practices, the base salary range for this position is DKK 545,250 - DKK 727,000 annually, reflecting the expected level and scope of the role.
In addition to your base salary, we offer an annual performance-based bonus, pension contributions, participation in our employee share ownership programme, wellbeing and insurance benefits, flexible working practices, and training and development opportunities. The final salary offer will be determined based on objective criteria such as qualifications, relevant experience, competencies, role scope, responsibilities, organizational needs, and market alignment.
