They're seeking an experienced Software Engineering & Site Reliability Engineering Lead to join their Warsaw team. This contract role offers the opportunity to shape engineering practices, improve system reliability and work with cutting-edge cloud technologies whilst mentoring talented engineering teams.
Position Overview
As Software Engineering & SRE Lead, you'll drive the design, development and operational excellence of enterprise technology platforms. You'll combine strong software engineering fundamentals with SRE principles to build highly reliable, scalable systems. This role involves leading SDLC processes, implementing test automation frameworks and establishing observability practices that improve service performance. You'll work closely with development, infrastructure, security and operations teams to streamline software delivery and production support.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy high-quality software solutions following modern engineering practices
- Drive end-to-end SDLC processes including requirements analysis, design, development, testing and deployment
- Develop automated testing frameworks to improve software quality and release velocity
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting continuous integration and delivery
- Apply SRE principles to improve system reliability, scalability and availability
- Establish and monitor SLIs, SLOs and error budgets for service performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline software delivery and support
- Lead root cause analysis, incident management and post-incident reviews
- Champion observability through monitoring, logging, alerting and performance analysis
- Mentor engineering teams on software best practices and reliability engineering
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in software engineering and site reliability engineering
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and SDLC expertise
- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and strategies
- Proven track record building and operating reliable, scalable platforms
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Google Cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Deep understanding of SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs and error budgets
- Experience with observability tools for monitoring, logging and alerting
- Strong incident management and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to mentor and guide engineering teams
- Excellent collaboration skills across development, infrastructure and operations teams
