You will join our People & Communications division which in total counts for approx. 50 highly skilled employees with expert knowledge and capabilities within the HR and communication areas required in an international Tech company. As HR Legal partner, you will be based at our office in Warsaw. Regular travel between the offices in Denmark and Poland must be expected. You will report to the Head of People & Communications.
BECs strategy has a strong people vision to grow and lead finance and tech talents in Denmark and Poland, and we are looking for a HR Legal partner, who is skilled in providing HR legal support and guidance to colleagues in People & Communications, BEC’s managers and other relevant internal stakeholders.
Primary tasks and responsibilities
Your tasks and responsibilities will among others include:
Employment law advisory
- Advise leaders and P&C teams on employment law matters throughout the employee lifecycle,
- Provide practical guidance on complex employee relations cases, disciplinary matters, grievances, performance management, restructurings, and terminations,
- Assess legal risks and recommend compliant solutions balancing business needs and employee experience.
HR compliance and governance
- Monitor legislation changes and assess their impact on organizational practices.
- Ensure compliance with labor law, data protection requirements, internal regulations, and collective agreements.
- Lead implementation of new legal requirements affecting P&C processes and policies.
- Engage in the internal and external audits and inspections, driving positive outcome of those.
Policies, procedures and regulations
- Draft, review, and maintain P&C internal regulations, both on local and cross-boarder level.
- Prepare and update employment documentation, including contracts, amendments, settlement agreements, or other relevant HR legal documents.
- Drive governance processes related to policy ownership, reviews, and continuous improvement.
Strategic HR legal projects
- Lead HR legal initiatives related to, among others, organizational change, regulatory compliance, employee benefits, remote work, working time, leave management, or M&A in terms of people transfers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate legal requirements into practical business processes.
Manager and employee support
- Provide training and educational sessions to leaders and P&C teams on employment law and compliance topics.
- Develop communication materials, guidance documents, and practical tools supporting managers in day-to-day people management.
- Act as a trusted partner during sensitive workplace situations and investigations.
Stakeholder management
- Partner closely with stakeholders as P&C Business Partners, Talent Attraction, Payroll, Information Security, and business leaders.
- Cooperate with external legal counsel, labor authorities, employee representatives, works councils, health & safety inspector, and trade unions when relevant.
To succeed you will have:
- A relevant higher education as Master of Law,
- Bar admission as attorney-at-law or advocate is preferable
- Some years of experience working with HR Legal – preferably in a larger, cross-border organization
- Known for your ability to create business development through your professional legal competencies being brought into play by integrity, situational awareness, sense of urgency, and clear communication that strengthen your ability to provide guidance and advice to your stakeholders
- Able to maintain prioritization when working multi-tasking
- Familiar with high level of confidentiality required for the responsibilities assigned to you
- Motivated by understanding and adapting tasks to business goals and challenges
- Are energized by working days with varied and unpredictable tasks bringing your structure, flexibility, and commitment to the table.
- Fluent English in writing and orally
