We are looking for a Cargo Patrol Coordinator at Dangerous Goods Department, who will work with us in our Knowledge Center in Gdansk. Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as shipping agent or practical experience in the transport of dangerous goods at least 3-4 years
- Knowledge of IMDG codes and other dangerous goods regulations on expert level
- Responsible, detail-oriented and well-organised working method with the ability to work accurately even under time pressure
- Team spirit and commitment
- Motivated and quick learner
- Good English skills
- Good IT Skills
- Chemical background will be an added value
Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Verify and process the Cargo Patrol hit lists related to Dangerous Goods in the respective catalogues regarding compliant cargo with mandatory law regulations.
- Taking part in specific training on Dangerous Goods and Operational Shipping topics,
- Take part in team meetings and discussions,
- Other tasks ordered by the Mandator, adequate to capabilities of the Mandatary.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing of ‘no move’ status set for cargo
- Initiate immediate action in the event of potential hits by communicating with Customer Service and other stakeholders when required
- Decision-making in the event of confirmed false declarations on a smaller scale or handover to DG Manager Cargo Patrol in the event of decisions of major significance.
