About this Position
A Fragrance Development Manager (FDM) bridges creative perfumery and market demands, translating abstract client briefs into commercially viable scents. The role combines sensory expertise with strategic project management
What you´ll do
- Translate consumer insights, market needs, and project requirements into inspiring and actionable fragrance briefs
- Partner closely with perfumers to develop winning fragrance concepts and recommendations
- Evaluate fragrances across relevant applications, assessing olfactive performance, longevity, and consumer appeal
- Manage fragrance development projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with consumer expectation
- Identify emerging fragrance, lifestyle, and cross-category trends to inspire innovation and proactive concepts
- Develop compelling proposal presentations, marketing concepts, and customer-facing materials using digital and AI-enabled tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, R&D, Market Research, Regulatory, and external fragrance suppliers
- Build, maintain, and leverage an international fragrance library to support efficient development and knowledge sharing
- Organize and deliver customer presentations, seminars, training sessions, and fragrance workshops
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fragrance, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Marketing, Consumer Science, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in fragrance development, fragrance evaluation, perfumery support, product development, or a related consumer goods environment
- Strong expertise in fragrance creation, olfactive evaluation, consumer insights, and market trends
- Proven project and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams
- Strong presentation and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
- Proficiency in digital collaboration tools and AI-supported content creation
- Fluent English skills
