Independent Accountant

Location: Warsaw

Responsibilities

• Verifying and booking received documents.
• Reconciling settlements and main ledger account balances with analytical records.
• Settling investment processes and maintaining a register of fixed assets.
• Confirming and reconciling balances with contractors.
• Closing financial periods in accordance with internal group requirements.
• Preparing or actively participating in the preparation of financial statements for project companies.
• Handling tax settlements (VAT, CIT, PCC, WHT), including preparing tax declarations.
• Preparing documentation related to settlements within the Capital Group.
• Updating registration documents.
• Reporting to the Central Statistical Office (GUS) and the National Bank of Poland (NBP).
• Collaboration during tax audits.
• Collaboration during financial statement audits.
• Supporting other employees in the finance and accounting department as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position involving full accounting responsibilities.
• Higher education (preferably in accounting and finance).
• Practical knowledge of Polish tax laws and accounting principles.
• Good command of the English language enabling effective communication.
• Commitment, independence, and good organizational skills.
• Ability to work under time pressure.
• Accuracy, thoroughness, and analytical skills.
• Communicativeness and ability to work in a team.
