Role Overview
As the Operations Manager, you will have the exciting challenge of managing and improving the company's day-to-day operational processes. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring that different teams across the organization work seamlessly together. You will be at the forefront of building and documenting internal processes, coordinating cross-functional projects, and supporting management with operational tasks. This is a hybrid role based in Vilnius, Warsaw, Lisbon, Barcelona, or Cyprus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and improve day-to-day operational processes across the company and ensure effective teamwork.
- Build and document internal processes, policies, and procedures, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate work between Compliance, Finance, Tech, Partnerships, and other teams.
- Support management and shareholders with operational tasks, reporting, follow-ups, and implementation of decisions.
- Identify operational risks, process gaps, and inefficiencies and take ownership of fixing them.
- Manage cross-functional projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and responsibilities are clear.
- Support the company during audits, regulatory inspections, and license-related processes by ensuring operational documentation and processes are ready.
- Take ownership of ad hoc operational projects from management/shareholders and independently drive them to completion.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in a fintech company with an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) or Payment Institution (PI) licence.
- Good understanding of how a regulated payment company works — operations, compliance, internal controls, and governance.
- Experience taking ownership of tasks or projects that involve multiple teams and seeing them through to the end.
- Comfortable working closely with leadership and shareholders — reliable, organized, and able to turn general direction into concrete actions.
- Experience building or improving internal processes, policies, and procedures.
- Languages: English C1, Russian C1.
- Experience in fintech.
