Salary: approx. €85.000 – €115.000 gross per annum
Your tasks:
- Perform advanced stress, strength and fatigue analyses for metallic and composite aircraft structures throughout the development lifecycle
- Assess structural concepts and components using numerical simulation as well as classical analytical calculation methods
- Build, evaluate and optimize finite element models using Altair HyperWorks, including HyperMesh, OptiStruct and HyperView
- Provide structural engineering input from preliminary design through detailed development, prototype activities and production
- Evaluate structural modifications, manufacturing deviations and technical findings with regard to strength, fatigue and airworthiness
- Coordinate structural analysis activities and technical work packages with Design, Aerodynamics, Manufacturing and other engineering disciplines
- Prepare technical reports, substantiation documents and structural compliance evidence for aircraft certification
- Support certification activities according to EASA CS-23 and/or CS-25 requirements and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and external engineering partners
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
- At least 5 years of professional experience in aerospace structural analysis, with a strong background in stress analysis and fatigue & damage tolerance (F&DT)
- Advanced practical experience with Altair HyperWorks, particularly HyperMesh, OptiStruct and HyperView, combined with classical hand calculation methods
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis for both metallic and composite components, including CFRP structures
- Practical experience with aircraft certification requirements according to EASA CS-23 and/or CS-25 and preparation of compliance documentation
- Experience in aircraft or helicopter structural development and the ability to coordinate technical work packages, suppliers or less experienced engineers
- Excellent English skills (C1); German language skills are a strong advantage
- Due to the security-sensitive nature of the position, citizenship of an EU or NATO member state and residence in Germany are required. Applications that do not meet these requirements cannot be considered.
