Data Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Analyse the structure of prioritised data sets and individual data points
- Document the current data sourcing process, including source systems, extraction methods and applied business rules
- Analyse differences in data availability and processing across countries
- Identify the actual owners of data and clarify data ownership responsibilities
- Map existing data flows, dependencies and current-state processes
- Evaluate potential future data sourcing options, including: Existing API integrations, Extension or development of new APIs, Data marts and data lakes, Existing or newly developed robotic solutions
- Identify technical and organisational dependencies for each sourcing option
- Provide input enabling high-level cost estimation of proposed solutions
- Coordinate analysis and input across multiple business and technology teams
- Prepare clear documentation covering data structure, current state, ownership and recommended future sourcing options
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data collection analysis and identifying optimal data sourcing approaches
- Strong experience analysing data structures, data flows and source systems
- Good understanding of data ownership, data governance and data lineage
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations
- Ability to analyse and document structured and unstructured data
- Experience identifying and documenting business rules, dependencies and current-state processes
- Strong analytical skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work with multiple systems, data sources and stakeholder groups
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate input from multiple teams while maintaining progress and clear priorities
- Professional working proficiency in English
Nice to have:
- Previous experience within banking, financial services or another regulated environment
- Experience with workflow or case management platforms such as Pega
- Understanding of robotic process automation and data extraction solutions
