The center combines frontline technical expertise with advanced knowledge of translational medicine and molecular bioscience. Main responsibilities
The Research assistant will be responsible for preparing and characterizing liposomes in vitro, as well as analysing bilayer properties from molecular dynamics simulation trajectories in silico. On the wet-lab side, the position involves generating both fluorescence and mass spectrometry data and optimizing protocols for its analysis. On the computational side, the project includes calculation of established and novel structural parameters that can be linked to the experimental data. The candidate is expected to be able to interpret and present findings, and contribute to ongoing methodological improvements in the lab.
Qualification requirements
Required qualifications: Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in chemistry, biophysics or a related field. Practical experience with liposome preparation and biophysical characterization in vitro, as well as with analysis of simulation trajectories of lipid bilayers. The candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
About the employment
The position is fixed-term for 3 months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.
