Do you enjoy developing business through strong customer relationships while bringing people together in a clear commercial direction? We are looking for a Sales Manager Nordics & UK who wants to lead a geographically distributed sales team and grow our business with both existing and new customers.
Based in Kista, Sweden, you will join the Alleima LPP (Long and Piping Products) Europe Management Team and take responsibility for our sales activities across the Nordic countries and the UK. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining leadership and commercial strategy with being close to customers and the market.
At Alleima, we develop advanced materials and solutions for some of the world's most demanding industries. Through close and long-standing customer partnerships, we help advance processes and applications where performance, reliability and material expertise make a difference.
Your role
As Sales Manager Nordics & UK, you have overall responsibility for developing sales and profitability within your area. You lead a team of five employees located across the Nordic countries and the UK, creating direction and alignment while giving people the support and space they need to succeed. As part of the European organization, you can be asked to step in to other countries for support.
A central part of your role is to understand where the next business opportunity can be found. You build and maintain relationships with key customers, develop existing partnerships and identify opportunities with new customers and applications. By understanding customer needs and connecting them with Alleima's offering, you help create value for both our customers and our business.
You will work closely with colleagues across sales, product management, R&D and our product units, bringing together market insights, technical expertise and commercial perspectives.
- Leading, supporting and developing the sales team across the Nordics and UK, including responsibility for people development and health and safety.
- Driving sales and profitability and translating business objectives into clear priorities and activities for the team.
- Developing business with existing customers while identifying and pursuing new customers, applications and commercial opportunities.
- Building trusted, long-term relationships with key customers and taking an active role in selected customer accounts.
- Understanding customer needs and connecting them with our product offering strengthening customer value and profitable growth.
- Driving business planning for your area and contributing market and customer insights into commercial and product-related decisions.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to address customer needs, opportunities and claims.
- Following market developments and using relevant business intelligence and CRM insights to support priorities and decision-making.
You report to the European Sales Manager LPP (Long and Piping Products) and are a member of the Alleima LPP Europe Management Team.
About you
We are looking for someone who has built a solid foundation in commercial sales and customer development, ideally in an industrial, technical or similarly complex B2B environment. You are comfortable taking responsibility for customer relationships, commercial discussions and business development, and you understand what it takes to turn customer needs into sustainable and profitable business.
You also bring experience of leading and developing others. Since your team works from different locations, you know how to create clarity, trust and collaboration without relying on everyone being in the same place. We value your ability to engage people, set direction and follow through.
Technical understanding is an advantage, particularly within metallurgy, stainless steel, duplex, high-temperature or nickel alloys. Relevant technical knowledge may also have been developed through commercial roles in industrial or technical environments. A degree in business, engineering or another relevant field can be beneficial, alongside equivalent knowledge and experience gained through working life.
Fluency in English is required. Swedish is an advantage, and additional language skills - for example Finnish or Danish - are considered a plus**.**
As a person, you are curious about customers, markets and new business opportunities. You enjoy taking initiative and moving ideas forward rather than waiting for every answer to be available. At the same time, you understand that sustainable business is built together with customers, your team and colleagues across the organization.
You combine commercial drive with the ability to listen, build trust and adapt your approach to different people and situations. You are comfortable working independently and making decisions, while knowing when collaboration and different perspectives will lead to a better result.
What you can expect from us
At Alleima, we believe that collaboration, curiosity and different perspectives help us develop better solutions. You will join an international organization where you influence both how we work with our customers and how we develop our business.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine people leadership, customer relationships and business development in a market with established customer partnerships as well as opportunities for further growth.
We support continuous learning and development and provide opportunities to deepen your understanding of our products, applications and business.
